Privacy Policy

The Short Version

CopyWizard collects nothing about you. The form data you choose to copy is stored only on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted the moment you delete it — or uninstall the extension.

What CopyWizard Stores — and Where

When you copy fields from a form, CopyWizard saves, in your browser's local extension storage on your device (chrome.storage.local):

• The values of the fields you explicitly selected
• Those fields' technical metadata (name, id, type, label)
• The field mappings you confirm for destination sites

That is the entire inventory. You choose every field that gets captured; nothing is collected automatically or in the background.

What CopyWizard Never Does

• No transmission. The extension makes no network requests — no servers, no cloud storage, no sync.
• No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no identity attached to your data.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind — no usage statistics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers.
• No password capture. Password fields and hidden fields are excluded from detection by design.
• No sale or sharing of data — there is no data in our possession to sell or share.

Your Control

• Delete any profile in the extension popup at any time — deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.
• Your data never exists anywhere except your device, so there is nothing to request, export, or erase on any server.

Sensitive and Regulated Data

Because storage is local-only, data you capture (for example, patient information in a healthcare setting) does not leave your machine through CopyWizard. If you handle regulated data (HIPAA, GDPR special categories, and similar), you remain responsible for following your organization's policies about storing such data on your workstation.

Permissions, in Plain Language

• Storage — save your form profiles on your device.
• Active tab / all websites — your forms can be on any site; CopyWizard must be able to see and fill fields there when you invoke it.
• Scripting — inject the field-detection overlay when you start a copy or paste.
• Context menus — the right-click Copy/Paste entries.

CopyWizard runs only when you invoke it; it does not read pages in the background.

This Website

copywizard.us serves static pages with no analytics, no tracking cookies, and no advertising. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; no other third-party requests are made.

Children's Privacy

CopyWizard is a general-audience productivity tool and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children — it has no collection capability.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date changes with it, and material changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
